A bather died suddenly at the Osborne-street Baths, in Manchester, last night. His name was Thomas Bennett Mills, and he was a warehouseman, 53 years of age, living in Christmas-street, Queen╒s Park. He went to Osborne-street at half past seven to have a vapour bath ╤ a regular practice of his. The vapour bath is taken in a closed box in a private room. Mills was longer than usual in the bath, and the attendant knocked at the door. Getting no reply he entered, and found the man dead. Medical aid was summoned, and artificial respiration was tried, but these came too late. An inquest will be held.
